While many in the trade would characterize this colored diamond as being a Champagne colored diamond, I have a hard time comparing the rich Brown and subdued Yellowish hues of this gem with the very pale bubbly stuff you imbibe mainly at New Year's.  Not technically a Cognac diamond due to the absence of orange in its color palette, this exceedingly LARGE diamond is still a very rare and collectible carbonic wonder.

Diamonds at the 5.00 and larger carat size are in a rarity class by themselves, and as I have found even as a well-connected colored diamond broker, they are extremely hard to find in today's marketplace.  So this diamond is in a niche not just based on its fine, well-blended coloration, but also based upon its very unique and large size.

This Autumnal diamond is an excellent addition to any tangible asset portfolio, and with rising popularity for Champagne diamonds, especially amongst high-end jewelers' clientele, one would be well-served over the next decade in owning this exquisite work of Nature.

Another richly colored COGNAC diamond that provides wonderful tonal qualities as well as a magnificent 3.05 carat size.  While Brown is the predominant body color of the diamond, there is no shortage of ORANGE present in this well-made, significant diamond.  Many investors have never even seen a 3-carat diamond, and will be surprised how large they really are.  Add in lush Autumn tones and it is a sight to behold.

At $5,600 per carat, this diamond is a bargain in today's fast moving colored diamond market where European and Asian investors are snapping these rarities up as fast as they are offered for sale.  Do these individuals know something that us Americans are slow to grasp?!  CURRENCY DEVALUATION IS ON THE WAY.

Colored diamonds have held their values in good times and bad, and we have a history going back through the Millennia to prove this fact.  If rare art and farmland have already been bid way up in price across the globe, expect the same to happen to fancy colored diamonds.  SELL STOCKS, BONDS, AND REAL ESTATE TO GENERATE CASH FOR RE-DEPLOYMENT.  An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

My Kingdom for a true OLIVE colored diamond!  One of the largest fancy colored diamonds that WCM has had the privilege to offer to astute clients.  It is very interesting that the three colors of Brown, Green, and Yellow mix so well to produce such a pleasing and Warm-Cool diamond at the same time.  Admittedly, this is one of my favorite color classes, and it also happens to be an undervalued segment of the fancy colored diamond market.  The Yellow element of color is very subdued and well-blended with its sister colors, adding to the appeal of the diamond.

Where else can you get a magnificent diamond at less than $6,000 per carat, over 5 carats in size ( which is a category unto itself), and a very clean Clarity level of VS1.  What's not to like??!!!  Another candidate for Valentine's Day that would knock the socks off of the very, very happy recipient if you spent the extra time and had a top-notch jeweler place this Olive Beauty in a simple, yet elegant pendant or broach.

This is the classic definition of a COGNAC diamond, primarily a Brownish ORANGE color description, that reminds one of all of the shades of Autumn foliage.  Do not really see a lot of Yellowish facet flashes from within this diamond, but yellow and brown combinations usually have some element of yellow present due to the internal diffraction of light; orange is the combination of Yellow and Red light waves, so it is to be somewhat expected that a hint of Yellow may be present.

The side-view or Body View of this diamond tells the full story:  A very ORANGE diamond with an deep overtone of Brown that lends richness and depth to the colored diamond.  A very rich Cognac flavor for the connoisseur.

Cognac diamonds are highly collectible today, and have appreciated from 5% to 10% over the last decade.  Finding one with Orange as the predominant color and over One Carat is not an easy task in today's market.  When one does, the pricing is usually some 25% over what we are offering this Cognac diamond for today.

Fancy WHITE 3.83 carats Pear cut I1 GIA-certified Colored Diamond

Fancy WHITE 3.83 carats Pear cut I1 GIA Colored Diamond, Side View

This is what is correctly graded as a WHITE DIAMOND.  The trade uses this name incorrectly in labeling colorless diamonds which have a color scale from D to Z.  The latter letter representing a diamond with a very distinct yellow tone and hue.  And it is in colorless diamonds, that are primarily transparent, that clarity becomes an issue since one can often see from the table view completely through the diamond down to the pavilion facets.  Hence, there should be as few inclusions to distract the viewer as possible, and Colorless diamonds are thus graded and valued based upon Clarity much more so than fancy colored diamonds in general.

In fact, a White diamond is basically a single cloud formation that is either opaque or semi-transparent.  A clarity grade of I1 is totally expected in a White diamond because of this fact.  In reality, the more opaque a White diamond is to light, the higher its value, carat weight being equal.

Carat weight or size is another important value parameter, and a 3.83 carat White diamond is highly valued by collectors and investors alike.  In fact, this is the largest White diamond I have had the pleasure to view.  Very unique diamond for that unique someone.

A very nicely sized and cut OLIVE Colored Diamond is offered for your consideration.  Mixing colors on a palette, Mother Nature added a tinge of Gray and a dab of Yellow to a predominantly GREEN base to come up with this wonderful Olive-Moss color of diamond.  Often times, colors frequently seen in Nature can be the most appealing to diamond collectors and investors.  It is always worth the effort to attempt to attach a common color name to a fancy colored diamond to give instance recognition of the color to the viewer.

Large fancy colored diamonds such as this specimen are going to be increasingly difficult to obtain in the type of financial panic I see lurking right around the corner.  Sounds extreme, I know, but how many of you out there were prepared for the events of late 2008?!!  The Central Bankers of the world have just added approximately $40 Trillion to total outstanding debt during the last 5.5 years to a world financial system that was already DROWNING in Excessive Debt.  Hum?  Give an alcoholic the keys to the neighborhood liquor store to help cure him???

Very rough times are ahead, and those of you who see the writing on the wall will do much, much better than those with their heads still in the sand when you will have assets that will adjust to the devaluations of local currencies.  Now all currencies cannot go down again all other currencies at the same time, but all currencies can all go down against precious metals bullion and fancy colored diamonds at the same time.  Has happened numerous times in history.

Sharing the color description of the Hope Diamond, a Deep Blue but without the modifying Grayish hints that the Hope possesses, this is a unique and exceptionally rare fancy colored diamond.  Blue diamonds in the one carat plus size range are almost impossible to find today, and when they are obtained, we only keep them for a very short time due to overwhelming demand for these extreme rarities.

As I have said so many times on these pages of Offerings, many wealthy individuals around the world are getting out of U.S. Dollars as fast as they can based upon the increasingly likely event of default in some fashion by an undisciplined and out-of-control U.S. Government.  America has lived way beyond its means since World War II and the bill for this mountain of $130 Trillion in unfunded liabilities for U.S. citizens is coming due.  Holders of U.S. Treasuries will be converting this suspect paper into currency to buy tangible, hard assets in the Billions of Dollars in the days, weeks, and months ahead.  This rush to obtain tangibles such as fancy colored diamonds will push up prices to levels that will even surprise us in the trade.

This Deep BLUE diamond in Radiant Brilliant cut is very well made with Excellent Polish and Very Good Symmetry and carries a clarity grade of VS2 ..... a very clean diamond, indeed.  The Tweezer or Side-View above shows how pure and rich this Sea Blue diamond really is and it makes this gem a highly sought-after and collectible diamond.

Available for viewing in New York City for pre-qualified investors only.

I often feel like the proverbial woodpecker in recommending particular color classes of diamond to clients and prospects.  I have some of the best experts in the trade supplying fancy colored diamonds for WCM, and over the last 6 years I have been repeatedly presented with outstanding Purple diamonds that are much rarer than most in the business and on the street realize.  A little frustrating to offer a solid investment gem to a client and not find it a home, but a woodpecker never gives up until he accomplishes his task.  PURPLE will continue to be one of my favorite, most-recommended classes of colored diamond for the foreseeable future.

I have modified the color description from GIA for this very rare diamond to PINKISH versus Pink because review of the table and crown facets of this well-made Pear cut diamond shows virtually no flashes of Pink to suggest that the carbonic wonder possesses a pure pink component of 30% coloration.  This is an excellent starter colored diamond for the budding collector or investor.

Remember always that tangible assets can take several years to turn a profit for the holder, but with the state of the world's financial, governmental, and economic systems in danger of hitting a 2008-style Precipice of Lost Confidence AND Panic, things can happen very suddenly.  Put in lining of overcoat a la 1939 refuges from Europe, and you can travel to Norway with a nest-egg that has been globally recognized as a store of value for hundreds and hundreds of years.

Another of my favorite color combinations that possesses the rare color of singular ORANGE as its predominant color.  This fact is plainly confirmed by the tweezers or side view image above.  The table or top-down view suggests some presence of brown or burnt orange in the diamond's structure, but this is not confirmed by the Body View ( side view ).  The very popular Square Emerald or Asscher cut is deepening the tone of the predominant Orange coloration of the diamond through light cancellation and thus the Orange tone being emitted from the Table View is resultantly a Deep Orange per the painter's palette.

Commercially the diamond could be considered a Cognac diamond based on the above discussion, while the predominance of Orange will carry the most weight in valuing the diamond in the future for resale.

Impossible to see the two clouds that GIA identifies in its Colored Diamond Report to arrive at the Clarity grade of SI2.  This grade is probably, from my experience, the most common Clarity grade found in fancy colored diamonds.  Beautiful gem.

Stellar specimen of a CANARY Yellow diamond that has outstanding a VIVID intensity of color, Pure YELLOW, noteworthy size of 271 points, well-made faceting, and well above-average Clarity at VS2 for a Fancy Colored Diamond.  When Mother Nature introduces other elements to form this rare subcategory of diamond, it is nearly impossible for some inclusions, minor as they are, to occur.  It is all about Color in these rare carbonic gems, so that is the ultimate criterion to concentrate your initial search & analysis upon.

When exposed to Ultra-violet light, primarily in the shorter wavelengths, this classic CANARY YELLOW diamond emits a Medium Blue Fluorescence which is a marker as to the origin of the diamond.  A very positive characteristic for establishing provenance for this color class of diamond.  Worthy of a high end collection or long-term investment portfolio.

The pinnacle of rarity in Fancy Colored Diamond, RED.  The secondary modifier of Purplish hues is to be expected in true Red diamonds, as well as some visible whitish feathers that label the Red diamond as from the Argyle Mine.  This Red diamond has the Argyle control number A282856 laser-inscribed on the girdle of this superb rarity.  A strawberry Red diamond that is well-sought after in the upper tier of the colored diamond market.

In fact, total dollar sales of the rarest colors in diamond dwarf by comparison all other rarity levels of sales around the world as the Smart Money gets out of fiat currencies as fast as they can.  What do they see coming?!  Currency Devaluations a la the recent Swiss Franc decoupling from the Euro, the failed European Currency Experiment which is sinking like the rock it truly is with more Euro money printing just around the corner.

The Swiss Franc soared on January 15, 2015 even after the Swiss National Bank offered Negative 0.75% on money balances in Swiss Francs.  Stability and Safety are being sought at any cost in 2015!!!  ENTER THE REALM OF FANCY COLORED DIAMONDS THAT HAVE HELD THEIR VALUES AROUND THE WORLD IN TIMES OF SEVERE FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC DISTRESS.

The Swiss move to float their Franc is the first shot across the bow of irresponsible Central Bankers ( Yellen included! ) who think the road to prosperity is lined with freshly printed money!! Lots and lots of Autumnal ORANGE facet flashes in this very large ORANGE-Brown diamond.  I guess I should have made the image larger to reflect its relative size on this page, but I did not want to wash out the richness of Burnt Orange colors within the gem.  Would make a knockout center stone for a Valentine's Day pendant for that special someone.  It will be hard to miss this diamond in such a jewelry piece!

Once again the Side View tells the story when it comes to Body Color for the diamond.  The Orange component of close to 30% of total coloration stands out.  Well-made diamond with VS2 Clarity which is just icing on the cake.  This rare colored diamond could be classified as a Cognac diamond due to its color composition, and we all know how well this class of color has done over the years, especially those Cognac's of size.

The classic CANARY YELLOW diamond with Internally Flawless Clarity at a very reasonable price.  Yellow colored diamonds have been the entry level for investors and collectors for decades now in the United States, and remain one of the most popular, if not THE MOST POPULAR, color class for diamond.  This diamond's Saturation of color is so Vivid that the carbonic wonder almost appears to have a darker tonal quality than what it actually has in natural sunlight.

The Side View tells the story, while the Table or Top-Down View has some light cancellation, a normal occurrence visually in diamond cutting, that produces darker areas that disappear upon tilting or rotating the gem.  A Fiery Canary in reality that have no lack of Scintillation and Brilliance in such a masterfully cut colored diamond.  A Saffron or Daffodil Diamond that will not disappoint the fortunate acquirer.  Get out of Dollars into Tangibles while you can at prices that make sense and while high-grade material is still available.

The Brown color class of diamond is often referred to as Champagne diamonds, but I am not partial to this moniker because I view campaign as a substance that is very, very pale in color, thus, an extremely light, light brown.  The richness in this Brown diamond, that appears to possess more orangey hues than yellowish hues, gives one an idea how stunning a Brown diamond can be.  Hold the diamond in your hand and rotate the gem in natural light to really appreciate how lively and radiating this colored diamond really is!

Since the diamond fluoresces a Medium Blue color upon excitation by Ultra-Violet light, we know scientifically that the diamond contains the element, Nitrogen, in addition to predominantly carbon molecules.  It is this Nitrogen that creates yellow diamonds which are well-known for fluorescing bluish hues under UV light.  So this diamond must have some Yellow, Yellowish hues emanating from it, but it is a challenge to see any in the images above or when holding the diamond.

More apparent is the presence of Orangey hues that could be strictly varying tones of brown, but the human eye will see them as more orange/orangey in tone as depicted in the images above.  I add Orangey to the color description for this fancy colored diamond to improve upon the accuracy of this diamond's label.

Summing up:  Over 4 carats in weight, rich & lively Brown diamond with subtle hints of Orange, and very clean Clarity of VS2 ....... all for just over $25,000, a super buy for the informed.

Have never really seen this color in diamond before!  And for the last dozen years or so, I have seen literally thousands of fancy colored diamonds.  Quite unusual, and hence, very rare in itself.  The fact that PINK is the predominant color in this exquisite natural colored diamond is rare independent of the two modifying colors that Mother Nature incorporated into this Peach colored diamond.  But when you add a dash of Brown and a bigger dash of Orange, you arrive at a color that is quite pleasing in addition to being rare in itself.  Feel like I am repeating myself here, but this is a true collector's colored diamond and has only to go up in price in the years ahead.

At a Full Carat in weight, this diamond has a lot going for it.  In addition, the Brownish tint to it gives it depth of color while not to the extent that the Orange and Pink hues are overpowered.  One can really see the Orange and the Pink in the Side View above, and even more Pink is emitted from the Top or Table View of this superb creation.  Even more beautiful when held and rotated in natural sunlight.

Never know what Mother Nature has in store for us in fancy colored diamonds, but I have to say this Peach of a Peach diamond is a product worthy of her efforts.

Very unusual for a predominantly GREEN diamond to actually emit BLUE from within the myriad of facets of the colored diamond.  This Aquamarine or Turquoise coloration is exceptionally rare in diamond, a fact that I have been trying to hammer home to investors for the last 11 years.  A pure Green diamond is extremely rare by itself, but to mix in a smattering of equally rare Blue, and you have a diamond that stands by itself among all colored diamonds.  See the Turquoise facets in both the Table and Body views above!

It is nearly impossible for colored diamond brokers and dealers to keep any inventory of GREEN diamonds today.  Buyers realize just how very, very rare these diamonds are, and are acting on this knowledge obtained over many years of monitoring the market.  Very special conditions existed in the earth over millions and millions of years with the presence of mild radioactive elements and high pressure to create these rarities.

Two carat plus GREEN diamonds can readily sell for $400,000 to $500,000 per carat, and the rare introduction of another extremely rare color, BLUE, to the crystalline palette can bump those asking prices up some 20% to 30% higher than the pure Green price ranges.  Buy extreme rarity when you can.

A MOSS GREEN diamond created by almost equal portions of Yellow and GREEN that produces a colorful, yet lively diamond.  One does not have to go to the Intense color grade in colored diamond to obtain lots of coloration when either Green, Gray, Red, or Brown are the predominant colors.  With darker tones than other colors, these colors provide a base from which the diamond can take on many hues and even deep overall coloration.

This Moss colored diamond has VS1 clarity, which makes the diamond virtually free of visual inclusions to the naked eye.  Remember, in the final analysis, a diamond is primarily valued by its color and its subsequent rarity based on that color.  Clarity is some four notches down the scale of valuation metrics for fancy colored diamonds, and buyers should not try to apply the standards of "white", colorless diamonds to this much rarer subset of diamond.

Moss does not only grow on the North side of a tree.

Wonderful richness of color in this "Bing Cherry" colored diamond that is solidly within the very rare Pink color class, yet offers rarity at a very affordable price.  Do not shy away from these diminutive colored diamonds, as the overall color composition is the most important characteristic of your purchase.  While the DEEP level of color intensity almost suggests a brown color component, especially from the Table or Top-Down View (1st image), the Side View dispels this perception since the "Deep" tonal quality adds a touch of black to the Orangey component of the diamond to produce this illusion.

Very clean diamond a VVS2 Clarity, but remember that fancy colored diamonds are expected to have some noticeable inclusions with 10x magnification since Mother Nature added non-carbon molecules to the diamond soup to create these wonders.  Very Good Polish AND Symmetry add to the value of this uniquely colored gem to provide not only a very appealing sight, but a well-made one to boot.  Buy a store of value while they are affordable.

I have seen a lot of fine PURPLE diamonds in my day, and this is one of the finest as to degree of pure Purple color saturation that barely suggests any secondary color modifier.  Just do not see a lot of influence from Pink or Pinkish hues in this diamond, so I am inclined to grade this diamond more of a Pinkish Purple versus a Pink Purple per GIA.

Furthermore, while GIA grades this diamond as having SI2 clarity, I would say it is a borderline I1 diamond due to the smattering of inclusions, minor at best, on the table region.  Can you pick them out from the top-down image above?!  Almost impossible to see them based on the richness of Purple color of the diamond.  Almost a Grape colored diamond via the Table View.

The inclusions actually provide an indication as to color description AND origin of this diamond.  The degree of Purple saturation combined with the type of inclusions strongly suggest that this diamond came out of Russia; specifically, the Siberian region of Russia is well-known for producing this very fine quality of almost Pure Purple diamond.

Worthy of the most discriminating collector's consideration and acquisition, hands down.  This diamond is also a borderline Intense level of saturation, but I will resist making that observation.

Still one of the most popular colors in diamond, Yellow, is probably utilized in more engagement rings than any other fancy color.  And more are probably purchased for investment than any other color also.  At the Vivid level AND with the challenging EMERALD cut that tends to throw a lot of white light through the Table and Crown facets (threatening to wash out the body color of the diamond!), this CANARY Yellow diamond is at the head of its class in Daffodil saturation and scintillation/ brilliance.

This price of the diamond is based upon the level of saturation at the VIVID intensity of color, the superb cut of the diamond, maximizing color as well as "fire", the 1.5-plus carat weight, and the high degree of Clarity of the gem at VS2.  Would make a ring of outstanding quality and uniqueness.  One of the most saturated Yellow diamonds you will ever see.
